It used to be, we Jews had some serious challenges, Nazis, antisemites, communism, even “enlightenment,” competing philosophies, today, we face not external, rather INTERNAL challenges –

each one of us has an internal demon, be it, laziness / sadness, ego aspirations, desire for fun or other mindless forms of entertainment, or a desire for pleasure (God-forbid drugs and the like) – though all these challenges are nonsensical, they are formidable, for they put us at a crossroads each time we’re faced with growing in our Yiddeshkeit and soul, or being our instinctive self!
