It is well known the teaching of Rabbi Pinchus Koretzer (I think) that from the time of the Baal Shem Tov, the light of Moshiach began to arrive through him, and his disciples, the Tzaddikim who taught Chassidus.

In other words, what is the light of Moshiach?
As the Rebbe teaches, Moshiach is succinctly, the revelation of God Himself.
Now as we had occasion to mention, as opposed to the common misconception that God is infinite, hence the revelation of God would be a light which would annihilate our finite existence, like the sun coming in close proximity to earth; God is neither infinite nor finite, rather God is God, who has infinite abilities, hence the ability to be infinite is not a limitation, it is an opportunity! and ultimately it is God’s desire to unite these two realms, which occurs when the finite grows infinitely.
The revelation of God through Chassidus is the transformative wisdom which allows each and everyone of us continuous growth!
But going a bit deeper, there is a story with Rabbi
Hillel Paritcher who had a disagreement with the Tzaddikim, the sons of the Tzemach Tzedek on an explanation of something the Tzemach Tzedek said in a mammer (Chassidic teaching) so they went to the Tzemach Tzedek who clarified according to his sons, but Hillel Paritcher explained, that he still maintains his explanation, for when a Rebbe says a mammer it is the Shechinah, God speaking through him, so it is possible for the Rebbe himself to make a mistake in the mammer, similar to Mosses needing to study the Torah that came THROUGH HIM!
