It is actually so simple, though it has taken me forty years and countless hours of research to see it (like all great discoveries, as Paul Johnson said “Genius is simple, after it is seen”) this of-course is based on the Kabbalah / the Tanya’s explanation of reality / mankind – all exists, within a spectrum (amazingly we know, all is part of the electromagnetic spectrum) All people exist within a spectrum, the spectrum simply is, from light to darkness, day vs. night, now, light is selflessness, darkness is selfishness – but the key thing to remember is: a. there are a million shades of grey (though generally speaking, there are three levels, light, grey, black – light is when we are God (obviously, the Jewish God of love) based, grey is when we are a mix between our ideals and our instincts (including our fears) and black is when our ego overtakes us.)
