It in truth boils down to the following simple truth, there are three kinds of people, those who don’t seek to justify themselves for they have no moral code which they are violating to begin with – this is how African tribes pillage (the least of their crimes) one another – the second, are those who know better, but having their anger or lusts overtake their mind, they are like the proverbial pig, they put on a face of goodness and integrity meanwhile pillage when they can; and then there are the precious few who actually live by a higher standard – in truth, maybe I am far to judgmental, having lived in Africa for so long, for if my memory serves me correctly, most people in the west really do try to follow their ideals and I guess to be honest, it’s more like a ladder, for we are all are born without ideals and we all must struggle to live according to them!
