It in our nature to both love when we don’t fear and fear when we have been bullied (for fear is anxiety over the possibility of recurrence) as we also by nature are jealous, we then resent those who love without fear (and as we cannot both love and fear which would be like going in forward and reverse simultaneously hence we ourselves are then lacking the warm feeling of love, never mind the friendships it produces) hence we too become bullies – but all is not lost, for the Holy Baal Shem Tov teaches “Fear No One (through trusting all is from G-d and G-d is only good – and it is perfectly plausible for the creation to not always comprehend the Creator) Follow your Convictions (ultimately G-d’s instructions) and love everyone unconditionally (in other words, fear causes us to judge others both to protect ourselves, hence we perceive danger, and out of jealousy to hurt those lacking fear – the real reason behind antisemites, bullying etc. while unconditional love demands we do all we can to alleviate another’s suffering.)
