It all depends what you put into your gps

There’re effectively three voices talking in our heads – the first as we are born instinctually with no wisdom, nor identity, is obviously what is called in Jewish mysticism our animal soul – like an animal, it has a simple program: pleasure / no pain; so we develop addictions to that which is pleasurable and phobias of that which is painful – then we develop an identity – we all have an innate desire to be great and certainly not to be shamed; as we are still highly unintelligent, our desire for greatness sucks up like a vacuum cleaner every single possible “proof,” leading us to conclude by age of two we truly are the center of the universe! (Which is why we become incensed from not getting our way – which is also why one of the keys is to distract a child, for their reaction is not logical, but emotions – change the emotion, change the reaction – they have no common sense in what they want, only an instinctually and ego driven aspiration to their desires.) We then develop our Divine-soul, firmly implanted by Bar or Bas Mitzvah, 12 or 13 for girls and boys respectively – now we develop convictions – we have a strong sense of morality – there is right and wrong – the trouble of course is, that just because we have developed an ethical framework, doesn’t mean we have lost our instinctual and egotistical one either! – What to do? What to do? – Hence to actually act ethically – not only feel ethically – we need to sacrifice our previous two gpss for our highest ideals (of course this doesn’t mean to not eat, sleep etc. rather, though of-course we should totally sacrifice our ego to the higher ideals of God, nonetheless, we should of-course be healthy, hopefully wealthy, all in the employ of the Divine gps.)
