it all boils down to the following – why do we wish to do what we wish? – it’s not like our wishes, are all that bright… (as we know.) However the desire to fulfill our desires is not rational, for there is a desire to fulfill the desire of the person you love – Now it happens to be that God made us in a way that we fall in love with ourselves – it goes like this: when you are born, you have serious needs like hunger, comfort etc. – when you have a need, being without any other form of communication you cry – then you have a mother who cares for her little baby, so she fulfills the need. – so subconsciously you begin to fall in love with yourself (conversely when God forbid a person lacks the ability to fulfill their needs they get depressed) So now that you love yourself (for subconsciously as the mind hasn’t developed, the mind associates its cause / crying = effect /result) so you develop a real healthy ego (which is why toddlers become incensed at not getting their way, for they have built an expectation and an understanding of how the world functions, and the one thing we truly hate is being wrong) so to sum it up, we are quite literally crazy (if you define crazy as doing things which are useless – which is pretty self evident)
