Is life fair?

You know, unless I knew better I would think we would all be accountants.
We are so busy figuring out if life is fair.
When we are kids, if another kid gets an extra candy we jump at the injustice -when we are adults we are busy seeing if someone got a raise which we should of, etc.
The truth is much more sinister.
For if I was the one with the extra candy or raise, would I feel so concerned? Would fair matter?
