Internalizing God – Yep!

Internalizing God!
Sounds a bit farfetched, but here’s how you do it!
There are two parts to every living being.
His essence and his manifestation.
For example, when you see me in the street, do you see my essence, no; you see my manifestation! For as I walk in a place that I am not one hundred percent comfortable I place my face mask on, so what you see is what I project, an air of confidence etc. etc.
However in my home, I have no fear, I am comfortable, it is there you see the real me!
Similarly, God Himself has two parts, his essence, Chassidus, and his manifestation, all other parts of Judaism!
Now, how can we internalize God?!
In essence, the Alter Rebbe teaches us, that as all is God and separation is only illusionary, hence in point of fact, connection to God is based on God’s desire to be united, similar to how people choose one another! mate, unite, and bond!
However there are two types of unity with God – the first is the unity of Mitzvos; for example when I give charity or place Teffilin on my arm, or light a Shabbos candle, my arm at that time becomes the vehicle for God’s will, desire, expression; hence God and it literally become one.
On the other hand, Mitzvos are called a garment, an exterior clothing, namely something that is worn, but not internalizing; as opposed to Torah study, which enters into my mind, so once I believe in a new idea, it cannot be separated, undone; it is now, who I am!
Hence, the study of regular Torah is internalizing God’s manifestation! but the study of Chassidus, where God is revealed in his full glory, as it states in the Zohar, where there is no questions, only pure Godliness! it is there that God becomes internalized within me!
