Inspiration or action now that is the question

Why did God first reveal Jewish laws and only three thousand years after the giving of the Torah reveal Jewish inspiration, for inspiration is for the laws, as my uncle Levy Wineberg told me, that the Rebbe Rashab taught on Reb Hillel Particher’s vort (saying) that all his incredible devotion to God (he was strict with Mitzvos to the minutest degree) was so Chassidus could better penetrate his mind. – says the Rebbe Rashab, it’s the reverse which is appropriate! – in other words, we must never confuse inspiration which effectively is a feel good drug, with action – inspiration is only the motive to act continually ever better in the realm of goodness and kindness!
