In truth – as I had the great privilege to study from the Rebbe yesterday – the reason God made darkness is: for the prince who behaves, may only be doing so, not out of choice – though it may be his identity, culture, ego. – For if you send him to live amongst peasants and erase his previous memory, he may very well act and behave, exactly like his new identity, culture – Cast into the dark lands – with people pursuing their narcissistic ego, their sexual lusts – it is here, that the Jew (or for that matter any seeker of truth) truly defines his personal agenda!
