In this weeks Parsha the Rebbe shares with us such an amazing lesson

How come this weeks Parsha is named Boi El Parouh, Come to Pharaoh

A name contains the essence

And what is the lesson of an event that occurred so many thousands of years ago

The Zohar comments that God took Mosses to the spiritual root of Pharaoh, the great serpent and Moses went close to the river but seeing the fear of other beings to approach this serpent backed off, so God said “I myself will take you to Pharaoh.”

What does this mean?

Everything in the Torah really is good.

We all know (or at least now you do) the famous story that every year when Rabbi Shmuel would hear his father read the curses in the Torah he was fine but one year when a substitute reader – as his father was sick – read the Torah he became so ill that it was a question about if he could fast on Yom Kippur months later.

Asking him for the explanation – as his father read the same words – he replied “when my father reads it, one hears only the blessings.”

So everything in the Torah exists on infinite planes.

As it comes into our world, it may be a curse, but in its source, in God, it is only a genuine blessing.

So “come to Pharaoh” the Zohar teaches, actually means come to the highest level of God himself.

Moses couldn’t fathom how can the highest level of God and man unite – doesn’t it state that if man sees me he will die.

Hence the Rebbe and Chassidus explains that there are two levels to Godliness.

The first is the common understood level.

But the essence of God is so sublime that God is able to take that essence and bring it piecemeal to a human being, allowing a person to become more and more knowledgeable, so it would like a nuclear reactor that had intelligence.

Normally if you plug a computer into a nuclear reactor it will explode, but if it had intelligence, it could always offer the right amount of energy; but of course being God, goodness and kindness, love and generosity, always add a little bit more, eventually transforming all the computer’s essence into the essence of source.
