In the end of the day, both love and being judgmental (stemming from fear) are wrong, for both are instinctive, love comes from being attracted to whom you love, so it’s like a child’s naïve openness (which of course we all love, but is not realistic) as well as being judgmental, for it is in essence, the grumpy man’s closedness, which is also not true, for many people are in fact loving, rather, (yes, I know this takes effort) we need to discern – we need to have open hearts, but at the same time equally open minds, to be able to shift, to close, to withhold, to in fact even murder (in other words, the Torah has four commandments that if you see a. is going to kill b. you are obligated to have no compassion on a. – for compassion on a. results in the murder of b. i.e. terrorism etc. etc. – and you need to kill a. first, something that a liberal due to HIS OWN softness can’t do) and it is only in this discernment, in this conviction, in this constant ability to do the right thing, in the right time, in the right way, that man has reached his apex!
