In the end of the day, all is so simple, you cannot drive in two directions at once! either you submit to whatever you yourself believe is truth, or you are actively going against what you yourself believe is true! and obviously you don’t deny the truth, rather, your instinctual desires are deluding you, that you can go in two directions at once!
