In life we are constantly challenged – the reason God set up a system where we can never be complacent which in essence means never be able to truly chill out – is because by nature we have a body and a soul – the body is like a cow – I recently met a Livestock consultant who told me – “The goal with a cow is to give them hay, a place to rest and then bore them to death!” – that is what makes them happy. On the other hand, our soul feels grossly underused, grossly abused, if we are not positively engaged – This is perhaps the great problem of western civilization, for perhaps the sheer amount of time it took to survive (from planting, to kneading, to sewing etc.) meant people simply didn’t have time to waste – with all our technology we are faced always with the following choice: shall we really become a cow, or shall we take our own bull by the horns, and do something meaningful
