In life everyone is either progressing or regressing, progress is when we are humbly seeking more friends, greater unity; regressing is when we are delusional, arrogantly seeking more exclusivity, which is usually coupled with deep antipathy for anyone not in our “club” – we see this abundantly in the difference between the expansive nature of democracy and the myopic vision of radical Islam
