In life as the Kabbalah states there are three possible scenarios – either we are thinking – or we are feeling – feelings as Kabbalah teaches, are generally including in either something we love/desire/wish for, or hate/fear – Now when we feel, these feelings get translated into thoughts, so the person in love can not see a reason not to love, and the person in fear can not see a reason not to fear, and the person in hate can not see a reason not to hate – One of – if not the – greatest mistakes of western society is to misunderstand the fact, that emotions like rain that comes down but then evaporates in a continuous cycle, are not fluid – We tend to think, that as we think, so we think – but our thoughts are very rarely intact – In fact, Dr. Kulick, a preeminent psychiatrist says, that every seven years a person overhauls their entire thinking! – Hence in Jewish mysticism, the emphasis is not on how I feel, rather how should I feel! – For by concentrating. cogitating and contemplating either the benefit or the negative of any reality, we thereby create either a love or repulsion (fear) to/from it – But all of this is dependent on a single key factor – if we are humble our mind has this capacity, however if we are arrogant, namely we believe we are entitled to get whatever we want, hence there is no space for anything but emotions.
