In Conclusion

The bottom line of life really is exactly as Kabbalah describes it – but in modern terms, either you are soft or hard-hearted – a soft heart is sensitive both to feeling others and to how others feel about them – effectively they are emotional – Or you are hard-hearted, this is a fascinating state, which we don’t like to discus – but suffice it to say, far from an accident the Creator says – “when the messiah will comes I will remove your hearts of stone” – What is a heart of stone? – A heart that has backtracked from emotional input – You see, when we are emotional then we are sent multiple signals in our brain visa-via our emotional reality – “I feel good / bad ….” – however sometimes emotions threaten to overwhelm the brain – every organ in the body has a distinct and exclusive function – The brain’s primary goal is not to think, rather to protect its ability to think (hence when the information overwhelms, people can God-forbid have a nervous breakdown – we all struggle with thoughts based on anxiety, fear etc. and though we may not know it, because it feels pleasurable, we likewise struggle with thoughts that are desirable, cascading into our mind creating fantasies of how we will achieve it – of-course as fantasies feel good, like dreaming what we will do with the lotto earnings, we are happy to hold onto such thoughts) But when our thoughts are too painful, the brain simply disconnects, like imagine a bully who taunts you – for-example, I met a kid who went to foster care and he told me he has no memories from before ten, his brain simply shut out the pain – So when our brain shuts off our emotional feelings, one of two options occur – the first is that we are reduced to our lowest level – like an instinctive child simply trying to get the next candy, whatever we think will instinctively give us some pleasure (For fundamentally pleasure is love, but as we feel no love we are not capable of feeling pleasure) The other is the exactly opposite, this actually gives our mind the space to begin to analyze – we begin to discern – we begin to realize, that all along we were being driven by emotions – and then we begin to create a new positive identity
