In answer to the question when’s Moshiach coming

I heard from my father that Mr. Telushkin asked the previous Rebbe who campaigned strongly for Moshiach, indicated its speedy arrival, “So do you think something was achieved (by the awakening for Moshaich?)” the previous Rebbe replied with an example from a tree: first the roots take root, then the trunk grows, then the tree, then the fruit!
In other words, as our sages teach, the whole purpose of the world is Moshiach – in fact every breath, every atom, every spin of every atom, every flower blossomed, was all part of the messianic process!
But what is the messianic process? – Ah’ wouldn’t this clarify everything!
The messianic process is not a world in which infinite light consumes a finite plain of existence!
Rather, where we remain in our finite plain of existence, and within that comes a new light, the light of God himself, who is so great, that he can be so humble, who is not limited to infinity, rather, is capable of every act of finite, of making himself as one scholarly friend of mine said “God can take his essence and put it on a pin’s head!”
