Imagine yourself as a computer – o.k. you look a lot nicer, but believe it or not everything you need to know about yourself comes from a computer – we often make the mistake of understating ourselves (as Freud etc.) by trying to understand the subconscious, how it leads to the conscious – but we shall take the exact opposite approach – for we shall understand the computer’s ability and work our way backward

our computer consists of both conscious and non conscious abilities
to begin with, the conscious – we have the ability to perceive – this perceptions come about in a number of ways, through our senses (sight sounds taste touch smell – remember there are countless – probably infinite – other wavelengths (for example both a sonogram and a dolphin hear sound wavelengths etc.) but these are the ones the good lord gave us) there are other ways of inputting information, primarily there is role modeling – “I think you are cool so I copy you” (this is why children speak think and act like their parents) then there is the capacity for rational thinking (for this to take place a person a. must be b curious as Einstein said “I am not particularly intelligent just very curious” b. there also must be a mind free from fear, for fear causes a hostile takeover and the flight (in rare cases fight) instinct kicks in; conversely love/desires (best example, a drug addict) also loses his rational mind (in addition anger, hate caused from ego, the ego is incensed it didn’t get its way or someone is better than his perception of his grandeur (“mirror mirror on the wall..”) or feels an insult was unjust – this also renders the rational mind impervious to logic)
