Imagine a universe that has two faces, on one side is light, the other darkness

By zevi770 · February 20, 2012

Such it the universe you and I and all people live in!

The inside, the purity of our heart, our soul, the God within, is light, but the outside, not other people God forbid for they too have pure hearts souls and God within, but rather the very physical matter, even our very own bodies and the bodies of all that we see and certainly the deathly still matter of matter itself, like a statue containing all the features of man, but missing light, life, joy, literally being alive, hence, we see darkness.

This is a subconscious challenge few of us realize we face every moment we open our eyes.

Try this…

Close your eyes for two minutes.

Well I just did it and it is amazing what I saw, I saw clarity as I haven’t seen in years.

You see, whenever we look, it is like watching a movie, the screen in front of you dictates your thoughts.

Put it this way, when our eyes are open we are processing 400 billion bits of information at a second.

That is faster than the fastest super computer (we are in fact only aware of about 2000 bits of information.)

Now we all know there is a limit to processing power. If your computer was busy processing such information, the ram literally would cease to function.

In a simple mechanism, this is the difference between robotic animalistic instinctual living, versus human thinking, living.

Most of us simply are so busy processing information that we are not thinking.

So once in while it is a really good idea to close your eyes – the Rebbe recommends to do this in bed at the beginning of the day – think – how do I want my day to be.

Don’t let the outside world fool you, it actually is so small it can literally fit into the size of a mustard seed.

Your inside world, your heart, mind and soul, now that is where true life exists.
