If we should fear nothing or anyone, why did God create the emotion called fear? for a life in which we don’t fear doing what is wrong – ideally, not that we fear a consequence, but our convictions becomes so much our identity, that it would be abhorrent, in other words, cause us personal shame to do anything cruel – obviously is a life in which cruelty can flourish
