If God wanted, wouldn’t we literally see the truth – isn’t that why angels, who have far greater wisdom than humans, do whatever God desires, knowing that their entire being is merely an offshoot of the Divine energy – why would God specifically, not only hide this fact, but give us the very persistent, to paraphrase Einstein, “very persistent false reality,” that our existence is independent of any source?! – the answer is, that there is a far higher reality to seeing the truth, and that is, when a person discovers that they are in darkness and from the perspective of searching for light, they learn on their own what is truth!
