What is a person?

Are we a soul?

If that is the case, say someone is God-forbid in a coma, are they a person?

Are we a body? – if so, say someone died, are they the body?

We are, as the Rebbe says, our worldview / identity, opinions.

What is a worldview?

Quite simply, we are all unique, yet there are general worldviews.

For example, the Jewish identity is the worldview of Judaism, which take a simple part of the worldview, that we believe God made the world in six days, for the sake of the Jewish people and the Torah.

Our worldview obviously is a derivative of the teachings of Mosses to the Jewish people, as continued by all the great sages following in his footsteps.

This is why for example, reform Judaism is not really Judaism.

For as they departed from the teachings of Mosses, let’s use the story of creation as an example, they don’t believe the world was created in six days, effectively they are simply secular Jews.

So you can see, a worldview is an opinion, shaped either / or from a teacher and a person’s own experiences.

Now here is the ultimate question – what is your worldview?
