Identifying who you are, or who your not

Identifying who you are, or who your not

We have this tendency to identify our desires with us

This is a very grave error

Our desires are not us

Instinctively a man desires sex, a woman security etc. etc.

If we think we are our desires we then become slaves to them

As Margaret Thatcher said, A person without religion is a slave to their passions.

This is perhaps the greatest dichotomy in society, slave to instincts versus people rising above their instincts.

As we mentioned in the last blog, we are humans

As humans we have freedom to choose

Choose who you want to be

Then know that all desires consistent with your choice is who you are

All those inconsistent with your choice is who you are not
