I was thinking – I was speaking to a American Marine who served in Afghanistan – now his father was a preacher and he joined the army for patriotic reasons – I won’t go into what he told me which is beyond belief- visa-vie the treachery of what the cia is doing there, however – and this was a very nice good person – he told me, the only conclusion he can come to for the war in Afghanistan is, it is about power – what is power? – why do people want it? – think about it for a moment, if I offered you to have all the power in the world, would you take it? – the answer is, that at the very core of an individual lies a demon, this demon is satan, and satan’s desire is for power – why? – you see, as one former spy told me “those who have power, don’t need to talk about it” – You see, behind the quest for power is actually the fear of extinction – the sages of the Talmud teach us – every living thing wants its continued existence – Imagine for a moment, all of us would live forever.. – that being the case, who needs anything? – it is this deep subconscious knowledge that we will not exist, that makes us seek existence, as if it’s in our power : ) – however when we realize that every moment we are recreated (as both science and Kabbalah have taught us, atoms (of which we and this universe is made up of) are continually being recreated from scratch – in other words, what guarantees life is not living, rather it is the word of God, to continuously create
