I must give immense gratitude to God, for I have always wondered about perhaps the most bizarre of all statements – though G-d says, he can be with a humble idol-worshiper! but in s/he who there is arrogance God cannot be – how is it this one trait precludes the Divine soul?? – the answer is simple – the nature of arrogance is not seeking what is right rather that "I am!"
