I know a phenomenal psychologist, Jeff Greenaplle, one of these Jewish geniuses (at least in his field) and he has a knack of summing up the most complex into the most simple – “women look for security, men for identity”

Why is that?
You see, by nature women have a major advantage and disadvantage.
It is obvious that every one of us is created by a loving Creator, and unlike mistaken ideologies that seek to dissolve individuality… we are no more made happier by being nothing than by death – for our goal in life is to actually become God – In other words, Selfless-Giver – this and this alone gives us true self-worth; what the Rebbe says, is the greatest pleasure – nachas (a sense of pride (not ego, but being rightfully proud) of self.
Now the advantage women have, is that God gave them a gift which no man can have, a gift of being able to literally create – I believe as a woman knows her infinite value, this is why they don’t suffer from identity (whereas in modern reality’s assumption that the goal is to be some kind of corporate-clerk… it obviously does affect them – for if you eliminate your potential, this has a catastrophic identity effect.)
But getting back to men – we men have a serious problem – nowhere is this seen more than in present time that the prosperity hence leisure, shows we have no idea what or whom we are, or should be.
Is reality an assumption? – as one physicist said on “What the bleep do we know”: “We used to think, O.k. if my hand hits a table that means both my hand and the table exist, but based on all the science we know, this is false” – firstly the reason you feel, is, there is a 3D image of your body in your brain that simply interprets electrical signals and tells you “feel” (where you touch – which is why someone without a hand can actually still get an itchy hand; furthermore, we know you actually don’t even touch – if atoms did touch you could have atomic explosion – atoms create negative repelling charge (which is why in an accident, the speed at which you hit an object is how hard it hits back) Atoms themselves cannot be considered to be real – so even what we know via our senses, no less than physics) the study of matter!- tells us, is simply an assumption – so then the question is, are we crazy? – the answer is simple, we are given a choice:
In order to answer this, we need to know it is obvious that we are not random.
Nowhere is truth more simple than in the Bible using the simplest of words but containing infinite profound truth, it tells both men and woman what their respective roles hence nachas (personal self fulfillment) will emanate from.
The woman is called the mother of life.
However man is called a Gardener, for was it not the first command from God which in truth is a universal eternal message to take the beautiful garden called people and to “help and protect.”
You see this is where we men find ourselves.
However the question can be asked – why?
If we are a creation, then the Creator can receive no benefit; such as if I create or draw, the painting internally gives me no benefit (perhaps a desired outcome) So why do we exist?
But what if like a parent God chooses to live vicariously – what if like every normal loving father or mother we seek to receive nachas from the goodness of our children…
So the bottom line message is simple: Women have children! you are gifted with the gift of being able to create – men (I know from personal experiences) not only do not have the physical but we lack the emotional fortitude, the ability to continuously nurture – Men you have a phenomenal gift, the gift of caring, the gift to be able to, as God so clearly says “tame the dark forces” – “bring light…” and we do this simply by being a true, loving, giving person.
