I just took a walk with a friend of mine – who says he is very depressed over the news – What people in the west can’t wrap their heads around, is how is evil so barbaric – but it’s actually really simple, imagine a scale, on one side of the scale are positive loving compassionate and most importantly altruistic convictions (for love can often be tied into selfish want, while altruistic convictions goes beyond the self /ego) On the other side is negative feelings of hate resentment jealousy anger, those who have the first basket, love even those in the second! and those who have the second, hate all people, including whoever is in their own basket (as the saying, there is no honor among thieves, as we see clearly with the Arabs) but the only thing they share in common as an even greater hatred – born from the happiness of those – in the first basket
