I just heard/saw an amazing truth- one of the directors of “What the bleep do we know” said two amazing truths: a. the one thing you can be certain of when you begin a spiritual journey is that you have no idea – in other words, our ego seeks to have security – it loves nothing more than to know – it is our ego that tell us to do, for those of us blessed to have lived the lives fortunate, comfort, fulfilled our hedonistic desires, hence realized we were living in a dark reality, hence seek the light (of-course the ego – my desire for enlightenment driving this quest) leads to the doorway, but as you cross the doorway, as the light appears, as the Rebbe Rashab says, God’s name Alef also means Peleh, you see, for ultimately God seeks a dual reality, you must exist without ego, you must do without credit (vdal and this will suffice for those who experienced) b. the other thing he said is that the master tricks us – for example in his film he said it was their (the filmmakers) love for both film as well as esoteric ideas that tricked them into making this film which profoundly elevated consciousness – that is also true, God will use your preexisting paradigms, loves, to get you to fulfill his will and hence his perfect rotzu-vshuv reality, in which you do good but can never get stuck, for ultimately we must always grow, ensues
