I just had perhaps the most meaningful life lesson – there is a boy that has no legs and one working hand – he came to 770 for his Bar Mitzvah – this I knew not – what I did see was a photographer taking photos – as usual, I assumed that the photographer was simply a reporter taking images of quaint Jews – so when he started taking pictures of this disabled boy I felt that how must this boy feel – is he a show animal?! – so I went to the photographer and asked ” Did you ask if you can take pictures of him?” He told me ” He is the only reason I’m here – it’s his Bar Mitzvah” – so I wished the boy who I must say probably due to his horrific disability has the face of maturity  “mazal tov” and gave him a Bar Mitzvah present – and then I thought about how the Baal Shem Tov says everything is a lesson – the lesson is the only reason God is here is for us collectively and you personally
