I heard in a speech from Rabbi Simon Jacobson, how Kabbalists struggled to Define the Act of Creation, is it a physical transformation, is it light versus darkness? and the Alter Rebbe, perhaps the most succinct Mystic, describes it, as a revelation versus concealment, and ultimately what we have to understand is that as the Alter Rebbe says, and I’m paraphrasing "we are in an infinite Dimension, which traverses revelation hence inspiration; and concealment hence integration!"
