I heard from Rabbi Shishler the following Medrash (part of the esoteric Judaic wisdom) Once there was a king who was very kind and had magical powers and he had many servants but the problem was they couldn’t speak –so one day the king gathered them into a large beautiful garden and said to them “I have decided to bestow the power of speech upon you!” – magically they could now talk and this is what they said to the king, “Now we are the king!” – isn’t this the story of life; first God chose one animal from all creation and imbued him with every fine quality and asked him “please do me one favor – I Have given you the world, but for your sake don’t eat from two trees” – touching a chord – “If I listen doesn’t that make him superior?!” he fell – and the saga continues
