I had a fascinating conversation today with a researcher into memory and hearing loss at Brandeis university – so their thirty year research shows that the brain can simply be underused – it goes like this – imagine you have a bike and you never use it – so it will eventually begin to become cumbersome – now what is fascinating is that (as I have long suspected) the problem with primarily fear and memory loss, is that memory and fear use different parts of the brain – in other words, living with fear causes our memory and other less vital parts to go defunct
