I don’t think there can be a greater good deed than being happy, as Rabbi Shlomoh of Karlin said “Being happy is not a commandment of God, but what it achieves no commandment can!” for the converse is, as he said “being sad is not sin of God, but what it leads to, no crime can” for unbeknown to us, is the hidden demon of jealousy – all the malice, true cruelty that has and is happening in the world, comes from jealousy over other peoples happiness, which we can eliminate if we ourselves decide that life is beautiful.
