I can’t blame those who didn’t have the incredible role-modelship of the Mosheh Rabeinue of our generation for not leading selfless lives – they never saw someone dedicate his life to his ideals – the dichotomy between what others should be doing (their role-models idealized world) and their actual behavior (their role models desire for agrandization etc.) was apparent enough to allow them to mimic the dichotomy; but I who did see the Rebbe; I did witness unconditional love, unconditional giving – what’s my excuse?!
