I always thought life must be so simple, as in any event 99.99999 percent is not conscious – so here is how simple it is – we love that which gives us pleasure (when we give ourselves pleasure – and when we get our way, this itself (as Kabbalah teaches, that though the precursor to a desire is for a pleasure, nonetheless the very desire itself sets up an ego-desire, so now there is a secondary desire to get our way) hence when we do, we fall in love with ourselves) so when we love ourselves and we consider another to be like us, then we love them too (this is why there is more love in families, for we extend the identification – this is why conversely, societies that dehumanize another, be it Islamic doctrine (they called non-muslims and other muslims, “infidels”, “kaffers”, “descendants of apes and pigs etc.” or nazi-ideology calling themselves a super-race and others “inferiors” are to be annihilated – for in their worldview this gives them not only the moral justification rather imperative to annihilate, as we empirically see)
