Human Progression

To understand human progression, we need to understand three things which Kabbalah teaches are the sequence – continuous – of how God functions!
Vision, Action, Results
So the easiest way to understand human progression, is not to look as we are want to – looking backwards, as human history begins backwards – but looking at God’s vision.
God’s vision is, that the highest, G-d-Himself, shall unite in the lowest, man!
A simple example of this would be, imagine you wanted to put an exceptional cream as a covering of a cake.
First you would need to make the cake – only after it was baked, firm, ready, could you add the more delicate cream!
Similarly, first man in all our imperfections – half-baked (certainly in terms of morality) was created.
After literally close to six thousand years, traversing literally from cannibalism, idolatry to monotheism and then to unity, we are now standing ready for the cream on the cake.
