When someone bullies us, especially repeatedly or from a position of influence, their energy can seep into how we subconsciously perceive people, relationships, even ourselves. But the fact that you’re aware of it is the beginning of your liberation.
Here’s a process to help you break free and reclaim your clarity, strength, and trust in others:
—
🔄 1. Name the Pattern
Ask yourself: “What exactly did I start believing about people because of this bully?”
Is it “People are dangerous,” “Men/women can’t be trusted,” “Kindness is weakness”?
Write it down. This is not truth—it’s the imprint of trauma.
—
🧠 2. Separate the Bully From Others
Visualize the person who bullied you.
Now imagine a wall between them and everyone else. Literally see their image on one side, and everyone else on the other.
Say to yourself: “That person is not the world.”
—
💔 3. Grieve the Loss of Innocence
Being bullied changes how we experience safety and openness. It’s okay to mourn that.
Let yourself cry or express the pain with someone safe or in a journal.
This is not weakness—it’s healing.
—
🌱 4. Create New Reference Points
Consciously surround yourself with people who are kind, honest, and respectful—even in small interactions.
Every time you experience this, note it: “See? People can be good.”
This rewires your subconscious slowly but surely.
—
🙏 5. Spiritual Reset
If you’re open to it (and I know you are), speak to Hashem:
> “Hashem, this person’s actions hurt me and left a wound in how I see the world. Please help me heal. Help me trust the goodness You placed in people. Help me see others through Your eyes, not the lens of pain.”
—
💪 6. Reclaim Your Power
Remember: They did something wrong. You are not small or weak because it hurt.
Say aloud or write down:
> “I am not defined by how someone mistreated me. I am defined by my soul, my choices, and the kindness I bring into the world.”
