How to Live As If Moshiach Is Here

We all know the Rebbe had a tremendous drive emphasizing the nearness of Moshiach!
Most of us don’t understand why!
The answer is quite simple.
The Rebbe himself explains the reason for his push, it is to give us joy!!!
How does this give us joy?
Well imagine I told you that shortly the world would be the ultimate zenith of spiritual and physical delights!
Would you be happy? of course!
But the deeper question is, why do we even need joy?
Ah!
Aha!
Aha! aha aha!
You see this world is a severe challenge!
It as a challenge on one level between happiness and sadness, joy and depression!
As the great Rebbe, Shlomoh of Karlin taught, where joy can lead a man, no good deed can; and where depression / sadness can lead man, no evil deed, can.
In other words, joy is the conduit to interpersonal relationships, while of course if God forbid we are sad or depressed it is the conduit for loneliness and worse God forbid.
So the bottom line is, that it is not that God needs us to believe in Moshiach, rather we need, for our own goodness, to be certain beyond a shadow of a doubt that the tide has turned, evil is almost annihilated, goodness is the new world order – and relative to the past, this is true – and the light will continually banish darkness, in ever increasing measures infinitely.
