how to distinguish between what will make you happy or sad I was just about to open the news and then I thought, “Here I am translating Jewish mysticism, why on earth would I want to get sad?!” Why indeed? You see, what none of us realize (or most) is, that our reality is far from static – we think our desires come from us – nothing can be further from the truth – Our mind is pulled to the darkness as it is pulled to the light (in fact the pull of darkness is stronger than light) this is an active malicious intent – for the darkness does not make us happy but very sad – So if that is the case, why do we go? – the answer boils down to the Garden of Eden where all realities were visibly introduced to teach us our invisible reality – this world contains primarily three beings – there is truth (cause and effect) there are people (desirous beings) and then there is the serpent, whose job it is to get you so deep into the darkness that you turn your desire to the truth – and so as crazy as it seems, the darkness is only there so we shall choose light!
