How nothing can be something

Imagine the scene, a new Rebbe was appointed!

His first discourse mammer, the coronation of the King, was, raeshis goyim amelek, vachrisoi adi oived.

Amelek is the worst antisemite and in the end he will be destroyed.

In other words, the Rebbe (the previous Rebbe explains) the entire Yetzer Hara (devil) is actually a non-existence!

How can it be?!

Can a force of so much evil actually not exist?!

To understand this we need to go back in time, to one of the worst devils in history, Pharaoh!

Bathing in children’s blood, heartless, cruel beyond measure, when God told Mosses to    the essence of Pharaoh, his evil soul, all spirits were afraid to cross the river and encounter the sea dragon (the spiritual source of Pharaoh,) when Mosses witnessed this fear from all other angels etc. he too was afraid, but God said, I will take you by your hand and lead you – having God’s assurance he went, and what did he see? he saw that the monster was a mirage, the entire existence of Pharaoh actually didn’t exist, it was a nothing who pretended to be a something!

All evil, all ego, all pretense, is simply people who are nothing, who have nothing, who FEEL nothing, and it is precisely this Lack, this existential loneliness, that creates the evil, the ego, the pretense, for the nature of man is to want to be happy and as a prerequisite for evil is arrogance (for one does not feel ashamed if one feels deserving of shame i.e. completely humble) hence there is the jealousy over the happiness of others.

It is precisely this jealousy that leads to the desire to annihilate the happiness in the others.

Hence our sages teach us that the Egyptians, like the Nazis, were not really after the Jewish body rather their soul – their joy-da-vive, as the Arabs are today.

In this sense we understand that the devil, the arrogance, the evil within us! (though of course minute in comparison!) also doesn’t really exist!
