How infinity merges into the finite

I had occasion to mention to someone tonight, the teaching of Kabbalah / Chassidus about the three categories of miracles:
He being a scientist, was telling me, how exact the world is.
I explained, that this is the first category, namely, nature is perfectly sequenced miracles.
The next, is what we commonly refer to, when we say miracles – meaning, a supernatural occurrence; unexplainable, based on the sequence of nature.
But the Rebbe teaches, both nature and the supernatural, are not the real ability of God.
For they both are like a trick.
The real ability of God is infinity.
Infinity is what we would usually think of supernatural; but the supernatural is no more infinite than the natural; and the natural, is no less supernatural, than the supernatural.
The only difference is, that in the case of nature, we have a sequential expectation, and in the case of the supernatural, it has gone beyond our sequential expectation.
But as I mentioned to him, scientists are looking for planets who have the right atmospheric conditions for life, but didn’t we already learn that what we think supports life, is not the only biosphere; for example, we were all certain, without sunlight, life couldn’t exist; until we found heat-vents in the ocean that support life.
In other words, if life is a miracle, then it is like a trick; and if it is a trick and God is infinite, there are infinite types and possibilities of tricks that he can do.
So then following his assertion that our lives are a little like a surgeon trying to operate on himself – namely, very limited in our capacity of understanding; we need to go outside of our perception to perceive.
And this is where Kabbalah teaches us the idea, that the purpose of life is in fact the infinite desire and ability of God, to merge the infinite, INTO the finite.
Succinctly it is like a relationship.
A relationship by nature must consist of two different and ideally opposing people.
The more similar to each other two people are, the less dynamic their relationship will be.
So to take something that is infinite – with infinite capabilities of infinite miracles – and something which is finite, limited not only in time and space, but even conception of reality; and merge God into man, now that’s truly a miracle!
