How do we know we are following God?

How do we know we are following God? the satan, is exceptionally adept; as the sages say, he is adept at his work, of convincing us, light is darkness and darkness is light! – in fact, as my “sociologist” genius brother-in-law Chaim Aharon Chazan told me, “I don’t know anyone who doesn’t think they are not right” – even Hitler thought he was justified, as did the millions of Germans who helped him murder babies, women and children etc.

So this question should not be treated lightly! – if so many people, all doing so many variant things – and as the Rebbe teaches, there are a thousand wrong roads, but one right one! – how do you know that your actions is good? or perhaps God-forbid, rationalization of evil?

The answer, the Rebbe teaches, Judaism is about love – the hallmark of a Jew, compassion and charity – so if you are compassionate and giving, you are on the right road!

Additionally, if you have a Rebbe, and you follow your Rebbe who is the voice of God (as it says, the voice of God speaks through the Rebbes) then you are certainly, not only on the right track, but on the infinite track of goodness and kindness!!!
