In this week’s final talk, on the Parshah, Toildois; the Rebbe in his to be expected, unbelievable style, completely shifts our paradigm, forever altering how we should view ourselves!
Without going into the proofs from Torah and Jewish mysticism, here is the bottom-lines:
Three parts there are to us:
The first is our core, which is our Divine spark, the source of our soul, and is literally God himself!
Obviously though, we perceive ourselves as independent existences (we furthermore, seeing that so many millions, if not billions of people do not adhere to the Torah, have freedom to choose if we should, or not.)
It is precisely when we bond with God, through following his directives of Torah and Mitzvos that two simultaneous amazing things occur:
1. We raise ourselves, we elevate our status; much like a child growing into a polite young adult, we become – from our own incredible effort – worthy of the title “A Son of God.”
2. As in essence, we are God; so in essence what has occurred, is our behavior has matched our truth; our identity has matched our reality; and this is the ultimate pleasure of both God and man, for the man has now merged into God!
