Have you ever noticed we use sugar on salt – for example, if you make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, your base is salt in the bread, then you add sugar

This is one of the most profound – if not the all-encompassing principles of light

In the beginning God made light!

But we know, the first two thousand years of life were called chaos – man-eat-man world.

The next two thousand begins light, through the light of Torah starting with Abraham and only a the end of the next two thousand – the period we are in now – is the true Divine light which was the first light.

Why did God hide the original light?

The answer is as the wisest of all men King Solomon said, “I have seen light is greater than darkness” – ask the Chassidic masters “Does it truly take the wisdom of King Solomon to see this??” – Answer they: “I have seen that people can only appreciate light after darkness” – Sugar is only sweet after salt!

The reason this is so all-encompassing is the macro mirrors or is mirrored in the micro.

Our lives also have these four stages: we begin with unconditional love, we then experience the jealousy (of bullies) of that love, we then acclimate to a reality in which we must be just (for the loving person is not just, only loving, as explained elsewhere) finally we integrate into the infinite Divine light which contains the space for eternal growth
