have you ever heard the magic words – thank-you

 

 

thank-you according to Jewish mysticism really are magic words

 

here is why

 

whenever we do something, whether it is physical, say eating, cohabitation, making money or spiritual, say studying, prayer, charity etc. our ego always says “look at me” – “aren’t I the greatest!” – now obviously the bigger the thing we do the more it says that, but even the smallest things, it gives us a little “I” boost

 

The problem with I, is, the more I that exists, the less you that exists

 

however if we always say thank-you – amazingly, the Jewish Rabbis instituted that before we do a good deed (Mitzvah) we say thank-you to God for giving us this opportunity; so now instead of feeling “holier than though” the magic words, erase any vestiges of evil
