Revealed

One of the most interesting things I heard, is that most people today, believe in a personal God.

In Judaism, no doubt, the idea of a personal, as opposed to impersonal God, is almost taboo.

We believe strongly in God revealing himself through prophets and in our past generation, many many have had these gifts – in our own, the Rebbe had amazing prophetic ability and many consulted him on matters of life and death.

But first and foremost, God can just as easily be a personal God to everyone, as he is a personal God to a Rebbe!

A man once told the Lubavitcher Rebbe – I find it hard to accept God supervises everything that goes on in the universe (obviously; Why would God concern himself with a fish at the bottom of the ocean?) – the Rebbe said “I find it hard to believe otherwise, for if a person has a factory, he certainly wants to understand what’s happening in every part, but if the factory simply has too many workers and it’s impossible, he must higher managers, but if he has a power that would allow him to see everything, of course he would!”

But the point of this article is Godliness Revealed:

There are many factors, or shall we say mechanisms in which, one literally tastes, receives clarity from God himself!

1. Prayer is one, in which, through meditation on God’s kindness – the essence of Jewish prayers – one feels Godliness.

2. One senses a certain Godly feeling after giving substantial amounts to charity.

3. Certainly in the study of Chassidus, we easily feel a Divine sensation.

But we must also be cognizant that the truth is, the only real reality is God, hence if we are open to it, we see Godliness and receive its instructions from everything we see and hear!
