From Sensitive To Insensitive

How does a human being burn another alive?

This person whose cruelty is only matched by his stupidity for eventually people, as they are, will come and kill him – when he was born, was he also cruel and stupid?

In order to understand this we must quote from the discoverer of psychology Freud who spoke (based on research) that within humans there is a life and death wish.

In simple words (for Freud really was muddling in the dark merely voicing very murky observations – and having read a lot of his work I can say this with some authority) Chassidus explains it – you see, when we are born (as neurosurgeons who research this say) we are born with very very sensitive hearts – in fact children are highly compassionate – but the heart has two sides, it has the side of giving but it also has the side of taking – we can only be givers when life is secure – which is why children taken care of, the natural sensitivity and compassion develops – but what happens when you feel attacked – suddenly the heart goes into the adrenaline fight or flight mode – from a physiological point of view the unique rational and empathetic human brain is exclusively in the prefrontal lobes – and when in a state of fear induced response the amygdila nuclia region which governs autoimmune responses kicks in – the good news is, it tells you to run fast, the bad news is, it bypasses your rational mind

In other simple words, when you are afraid you have no capacity to love.

Hence in the end of the day, if you wish to recapture that which makes you special, that which makes you human/e, that which makes you Divine, you must (may I suggest you use Kabbalah Love which is based on) follow/ing the teaching of Rabbi Yisroel Baal Shem Tov:

Fear no one or anything (for after all they are no more than a pawn in a master plan)

Love Unconditionally (in other words, the reason you love another is not what they can do for you, rather because God told you so – this comes about through a. seeing the good in others and b. realizing that you and them share much – a soul – the same specie, drives etc. – in common!
