For thousands of years the servant desired to be the master, figuring that to be a master is happiness

 

 

But the truth is, it’s the reverse

 

For today, we are master of our fate, with democracy allowing us unbridled rights, and never before have more people been more miserable!

 

For humanity has something called an ego

 

And it goes like this – the more I get what I want, the unhappier I get! – for the subconscious ego expands every time I achieve something

 

In other words, the more I am nothing, the lower my ego, hence the more pleasure I actually derive from everything!
